About the event:
On 8, 9, 10 and 11 May 2025 at the Château de Maulnes, come and relive the end of the Second World War! German, French, British, Scottish and American troops will immerse you in this historic event.
Following the success of the 2023 edition, the Château de Maulnes will welcome for the second time and for four days more than 150 re-enactors, in conjunction with the G.A.R 1940 re-enactment association.
On the program:
May 8 at 11 a.m.: official commemoration ceremony
More than 150 re-enactors present with their equipment and their period uniforms for demonstrations and continuous manoeuvres. Re-enactors of the Resistance and civilian life will immerse you eighty years earlier!
About thirty military vehicles from all over the world: German sidecars, American jeeps, or even half-tracks, some of which are the latest models to exist.
Among the rarities, observation equipment from the Luftwaffe (German Air Force) will be offered for demonstration.
2 battle scenes will take place each day at 11:30 am and 4:00 pm. But fear not: two military hospitals will be set up especially to treat the wounded!
The army will also be present.
And new features for 2025:
In the castle, you can be immersed in a classroom from the 1940s! Discover an exhibition of period hats and attend sketches of daily life at regular times.
Vintage agricultural tractors will be presented in the park during the four days of reconstruction.
Continuous treasure hunts for children and teenagers.
